Mark the Occasion with your Invitation
Whether you are celebrating a birthday, kicking off summer or honoring an achievement, there is typically a theme that stands out. Customize and use your invitation highlight the nature of the event!
There are a number of customized invitation sites that can help you put something great together. I recommend Paperless Post – who has great themed templates for every occasion, and is very user friendly.
Here are some fun ideas!
For a cooking party, model the invitation after a recipe card. For this party, we made mozzarella – so I listed out the food & beverage elements of the day on the left side, with instructions for the guests on the right.
For a music or concert themed event, base the invitation on an advertisement or poster related to the style of music. This event was themed after Jazz Fest, so the invitation looks like a vintage flyer for the festival in New Orleans.
If your event is taking place in a specific venue, use the invite to highlight where the guests will be going. This party was held in a private space called “The Warhol Room” – so we modeled the invitation after Andy Warhol’s iconic soup can.
